If you spend a lot of time at your desk working on your computer than you know how important it is to have a good chair. Chairs that are used by a desk or computer table are often referred to as task chairs. The name explains what the chair is used for – to complete different tasks. It does not matter what the task is it could be filing, typing, writing, etc.
A common feature of task chairs is that they are on wheels. It is good to look for a chair that has a lock for the wheels so that you do not injure yourself when sitting down or getting up. Task chairs come in many different materials and styles. You can get fairly inexpensive ones made of plastic that do not have any arms. On the other end of the spectrum you could get leather office chairs with arm rests and such. Depending on how good quality the chair is it may even be referred to as an executive chair.
Task chairs can really be used in so many different places. I remember my dentist coming in and sitting backwards on a cheap task chair as he would check my teeth as a young child. I also remember my father having a very comfortable and big chair to sit in at his office. Whenever we would go to his office we loved sitting in the big task chair.
