Nothing would be easier than spending a couple of weekends shopping for new bedroom furniture, looking at everything from night stands to king headboards to blanket chests. The hard part is not the shopping but making the decision. One has to narrow the selection down by price and that’s often easy since the amount one has to spend is usually the cut and dried part of the selection criteria. But, then one has to figure out the number of pieces need and the size of those pieces. Then, how and where all of those lovely things will fit in the designated bedroom must be determined. After all, it would be easy to simply buy the exact set the store has on the showroom floor but there are real problems created if it will not fit into the room in a pleasing manner. That wall with the extra window or the bathroom can present a real placement problem.

But, with a little patience, size can be worked out. However, decisions have to be made on the materials used to manufacture the pieces, the color, the shape, the decor style and personal taste. Many people do not care for footboards and find that king headboards are too large. Other people want as spacious a bed as possible and opt for four posters with massive presence in the room. Of course, then one has to consider the flooring style and color as well as window coverings. The decision making process can go on and on.

But, that glorious new bedroom is worth all the effort and care of selection. Whether you have created a room where the family can gather or a pesonal sanctuary, there’s a lot of satisfaction when you open the door and see that all your shopping, decision making and spending has paid off in this lovely room.
